The Glasgow Clyde College is a Community College based in the West of Scotland, providing a range of services across Glasgow, both within the college and through its local Community Centre’s along with partnerships with a number of voluntary organisations and regeneration agencies. We have substantial experience of skills training for all learners in further education, including vulnerable target groups, i.e. those from highly disadvantaged areas, long termed unemployed, young people, etc. The college, opened in 1964 is organised into 5 Teaching Departments with 255 FTE Staff, approximately 8,000 students enjoy full time and part time courses. The 5 schools/departments consist of; Creative Industries and Sport; Health Care and Communities; Engineering and Construction; Business and Digital technologies; English for Speakers of Other Languages, Highers and Communications. We have over 200 On-Line VLE courses which we use to support community engagement and mainstream college provision.
